Technical SupportRevision 4 CD Install Error. In February, 2005, we received the first report of a Pump Trainer installation error. The error occurs after inserting the Revision 4 CD into a drive, and the installation program attempts to run. The following error results:The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. This appears to be the result of a recent security patch released by Microsoft, and could be caused by new system file configuration changes. In an effort to prevent computer security breeches, Microsoft has also prevented the original Pump Trainer installation program from executing. As a result, we have created a solution to circumvent the problem. It is a program, which you download below. It reads your Pump Trainer CD and completes the Pump Trainer 4 installation. It also upgrades Pump Trainer to release 4.00.18. You must have the original Pump Trainer CD for this alternate installation to work. The posted upgrade on this page works for the Revision 4 CD only. If you want to upgrade from a previous revision, go to upgrade a previous revision.. ![]() Alternate Pump Trainer installation, requiring your Revision 4 CD: The download file, PumpTrainer4.18_AltInstall.exe, is a self-extracting executable file.
